When your clients are downloading their images, they have the ability to download the full size image or an MLS image size. By default, the MLS image download size is 1200. This means that the long side of the image will download no larger than 1200 pixels. Not all MLS are the same so this file size may not work for you and your clients. If this is the case, then you can modify the default size to make it work best for your clients.
How to adjust MLS image download default size
Click the steps below for a detailed walk-through:
Step 1: Click the Business tab
Step 2: Click the Default Settings tab
Step 3: Change MLS Image Download default size
Step 4: Click "Save Changes"
Step-by-step:
Step 1: Click the Business tab at the top of the page.
Step 2: Click the Default Settings tab on the left-hand side of the page.
Step 3: In the Platform Settings section, you will see the "MLS Image Download - Default Size" option. You can change this size to work for your local MLS. Here are a few examples:
- 3000: This would make the long edge of the photo 3000 pixels
- 3000x2000: This would output all images as 3000 pixels wide and 2000 pixels tall, cropping to the center
- 1200x800/90: This resizes all images to 1200x800, cropping to the middle, and uses JPEG quality of 90. (Lower numbers are smaller file sizes, larger are higher quality. The default is 80 and the max is 100.)
- Square Images:1200x1200/90: Resizes to 1200x1200, cropping to the middle, with JPEG quality of 90. Also includes a custom name on the download button of "Square Images".
- Low Quality:1200x800/50|High Quality:3000x2000/95: Creates two download buttons - one with "Low Quality" on the button and one with "High Quality".
- -(just a dash): This disables the MLS Photos button.
Step 4: Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save Changes". If you chose one of the options that modified the text of the download button, you will see that on the Download Page for a property site.
