With our Sales Tax feature, the sales tax will be calculated based on your client's billing address.  If they do not already have their billing address on file, they will be prompted to enter their billing information during their order.  Without this information, they will not be able to proceed with the order until it is entered.  However, if you would prefer to use the property address for Sales Tax Lookup when they do not already have their billing address entered, you can!  Take a look below to see how.


Do not ask clients for their billing address during an order


Click the steps below for a detailed walk-through:

    Step 1: Click the Business tab

    Step 2: Click the Default Settings tab

    Step 3: Scroll to the Billing Options section

    Step 4: Click 'Do not ask clients for their billing address during an order'

    Step 5: Click 'Save Changes'

Step-by-step:

Step 1: Click the Business tab at the top of the page.



Step 2: Click the Default Settings tab on the left-hand side of the page.



Step 3: Scroll down to the Billing Options section.



Step 4: Click the checkbox next to 'Do not ask clients for their billing address during an order'.  This will remove the billing address section on your shopping cart and use the property address for sales tax lookup.  Note: if the client already has a billing address on their account, that address will be used for the sales tax lookup.



Step 5: Scroll down and click 'Save Changes'.  You/your clients will no longer be prompted to enter in the client billing address during ordering.
