Mobile App Push Notifications are here!  With the latest version of the app, this exciting new feature allows you to customize push notifications for your business.  You can automatically notify your client of events like when their media is ready for download, a special photography promotion, or even when they have a balance due.  Check out the steps below on how to use Mobile App Push Notifications!


How to use push notifications


Click the steps below for a detailed walk-through:

    Step 1: Click the Business tab

    Step 2: Click the Mobile App tab

    Step 3: Click 'Edit Push Notifications'

    Step 4: Enable desired Default Notifications

    Step 5: Click 'Create Push Notification' in Custom Push Notifications

    Step 6: Enter a Notification Name

    Step 7: Click 'Add New Filter'

    Step 8: Choose a filter option

    Step 9: Click 'Ok'

    Step 10: Set filter parameters

    Step 11: Click + to add another filter, if needed

    Step 12: Enter a Notification Message

    Step 13: Click 'Test' to check who will receive notification

    Step 14: Click 'Save'

    Step 15: Click 'Send' when ready



Step-by-step:


Step 1: Click the Business tab at the top of the page.


Step 2: Click the Mobile App tab on the left-hand side of the page.


Step 3: In the Mobile App Push Notifications section , click the 'Edit Push Notifications' option.


Step 4: In the System Notifications section, enable any default notifications that you would like to be sent to your clients.  When enabled, the Marketing Kit Ready and Media Ready push notifications will automatically be sent when you send the client their completion email.  If enabled, the Appointment Reminder notification will sent based on your Follow-Up Confirmation Email settings on Business > Default Settings.


Step 5: If you would like to create a custom push notification to send to your clients, click the 'Create Push Notification' button in the Custom Push Notifications section.


Step 6: In the Notification Name field, enter the name you would like to use for your Custom Push Notification.  This name will not be visible to your clients.


Step 7: If you would like to send this Push Notification to a specific client base, click the 'Add New Filter' button.  Note: if you do not apply any filters to your Push Notification, it will be sent to all clients with your mobile app installed.


Step 8: Choose the filter option that you would like to use.  You can base the notification on the amount your client has spent with you, when their last order was, etc.  


Step 9: Once you have selected your filter option, click 'Ok'.


Step 10: For your selected filter option, set the parameters that you would like to use. Note: not all filters have parameter options.


Step 11: If needed, you can add multiple filter options.  Simply click the '+' button to add an additional filter.



Step 12: Once you have your filter options set, you can enter the Notification Message that you would like your clients to receive.  You can use the tags provided to ensure that your notification is customized to the client receiving the notification!



Step 13: You can test your Push Notification to see which clients will receive that Push Notification once you send it.  Click the 'Test' button to get a glimpse of which clients are set to receive that notification.



Step 14: Once you are happy with your custom Push Notification, click the 'Save' button.  This will take you back to the main Push Notifications page.


Step 15: When you are ready to send your custom Push Notification, click the 'Send' button to the right of your notification.  This will immediately send that Push Notification to the clients based on the filters that you set up!
