Step 11: Customize Upsell Display in Shopping Cart Config
Step-by-step:
Step 1: Click the Business tab at the top of the page.
Step 2: Click the Shopping Cart tab on the left-hand side of the page.
Step 3: Scroll down to the Product Upsells section and click 'Create Your First Upsell'.
Step 4: In the Upsell Details, enter in the Upsell Name. If you would like to hide the Upsell Name from appearing to the client, click the 'Hide Name' checkbox to the right.
Step 5: In the Upsell Product drop-down, choose the product that you would like to be upsold to your client during their order.
Step 6: By default, the Product Name and the Product Description will be displayed on the Upsell pop-up window. If you would like, you can hide either of those from displaying.
Step 7: If you only want to run this Upsell during a certain time period, you can enter a Start Date and an End Date. This will ensure that the Upsell isn't offered outside of that date range. This is great if you are offering an Upsell as a marketing promo!
Step 8: In the Promo Code to Apply drop-down, you can choose a promo code to automatically apply to the order when this Upsell is added. This may further entice your client to add the Upsell to their order when they may not have normally ordered at the regular price. Note: if the promo code is no longer valid either because it is outside the promo code date range or the max number of uses has been met, the client will be presented with the regular product price for the Upsell.
Step 9: In the Set Inclusions area, choose the products you would like the Upsell to be offered with. Additionally, in the Set Exclusions area, choose the products you don't want this Upsell to be offered with. For example, if you are creating an Upsell for Aerial Video, you can set your Daytime Photography products for Inclusions but then set any other Aerial Video products as Exclusions. This will ensure that the Upsell is offered when the client is ordering Daytime Photography BUT be excluded if they have already selected an Aerial Video product.
Step 10: Once you are happy with your Upsell Details, click 'Save Updates'. They system will now offer Upsells to your clients based on the products they have already selected for their order! Note: if your Upsell product requires Time on Site, the Upsell will only be offered if it can fit into the selected appointment timeslot. Otherwise, the system will move on to the next Upsell product to offer until it finds one that can fit or does not require Time on Site.
Step 11: If you have certain branded colors that you would also like to display on the Upsell pop-up, you can configure those in your Shopping Cart settings! Just click the 'Config' button for you shopping cart and then scroll down to the Upsell section. Input your color codes for the various design elements and then click 'Ok' to save your changes.
