The Team Member Scheduling Bias was created to allow you to "favor" one team member over others without having to modify their Service Area priorities. The scheduling bias will be used in the case where there is a "tie" between two team members who have matching Service Areas priorities and are equal distance from the property.
The Scheduling Bias number can be either a positive number (to favor the Team Member) or a negative number (to be against the Team Member)
- Positive Number Use Case: You have a Team Member that has been with you for a long time and you want to make sure that Team Member's schedule is full before assigning orders to other Team Members. You could could set this Team Member's bias to 100 to ensure the order is always assigned to them, if possible, before anyone else.
- Negative Number Use Case: You have a Team Member who is brand new and still training so you don't want them getting many jobs while in their training period. You could set this Team Member's bias to -100 to have the order go to any other Team Member before getting assigned to this Team Member who is still in training.
To effectively use the Team Member Scheduling Bias feature, you must be:
- Using the Calculated Drive Time feature
- Using either of the following Team Member Selection settings:
- Don't Show Team Member / Auto-Choose
- Option for First Available
